Current Comic RCRA Comic Archive 50b Comic Kevin's Article Contact Me

Greetings and Salutations from 50000000000.com, home of some random web comic that my brother and I make (Edit: made). It might not make sense, espescially the first one, which I randomly drew in MSPaint in a couple of seconds. From then on, my brother took over drawing, and there was much rejoicing. Enjoy, or not...

Part II: Also, this site contains RCRA: River City Ransom on Acid. It is a sprite comic based on the NES classic, River City Ransom, as well as crossovers with several other NES games and random gaming/nerd stuff thrown in as well.

Yar, it be talk like a pirate day, ye' land lovers. Anyways, we have breaking news related to the previous post! I now proudly announce a joint project between 50b, stealmyname and DLC Productions; written by Kevin Vanderwall and based on the concepts developed by Kevin Vanderwall, Sam Frederick and Dillon Johnson. 50000000000.com presents: TETRIS: The Movie: The Webcomic

First, a public service announcement from the creator or RCRA:

And now for some site news. As you might have guessed from the image above (if you were in fact in a mystery/detective show and it was convenient to the plot), Kevin and I are now in Alaska for University and the campus is crawling with moose. And by crawling with moose, I mean we've seen a few. Kevin has decided that he shall develop an acute fear of them for no particular reason, hence the PSA. What does this have to do with RCRA? Well, I have to inform you that the decision has been made to put RCRA on hiatus for the time being, but this is only so we can bring you another epic tale that must be told and has been in development for over a year, or maybe under, whatever. Please stay tuned for future announcements.

On that note, I have one further update. I have found RSS feeds to be highly convenient, and so I decided to make on for the site. You can find it here. Most modern browsers should support it, but it is still very new. If there are any problems, feel free to contact me. As always, enjoy it, or not...
August 16, 2006 12:24am PT

Hm, these have been around for awhile: Issue 53 and 54.

Anyway, I figured that I'd update them before Kevin and I both leave for Alaska this Saturday. Will we continue the strip in College? Perhaps Kevin will get new ideas and make new issues, and perhaps I will get off my ass and write a code a decent website instead of building off what I slapped together when I was twelve. Oh well, we'll see...

Enjoy it. Or not...
August 1, 2006 12:15pm PT

I'm sure all of them work in Kevin's mind. Issue 52.
July 30, 2006 11:13pm PT

Some issues, you need to know the inner workings and Kevin's mind and the current affairs in his own microcosm in order to understand them in the least bit. This is one of those issues. Enjoy, or not...
July 30, 2006 7:00pm PT

A long awaited Issue 50 is finally and hand, and which storyline does it continue? Neither. It's really a rather worthless issue, of the type that would normally be called something else, like the Kick-Ass Cookery. Oh well, Kevin calls it 50, and it is his comic...

In other news, it seems that E3 as we know it is no more. It may continue on as a shell of it's former glory, but will probably never be the show that I longed to go to. I feel cheated that I was a year late from trying to force my way in, it being a trade-only event and me not necessarily being in the video game trade in any manner. Da LAN Crew had an interesting idea to try and get in, that being having a LAN party outside and hoping that they invited us in. If you don't know who or what DLC is, than you're obvioulsy not a member and I am somewhat confused on how and why you're reading this...
May 20, 2006 5:35pm PT

Hm, I think it was done before E3 ended, but Issue 49 was sitting in my inbox for awhile. Also, as a special bonus, 50b and RCRA present: 50b's Kick Ass Cookery 1.
May 3, 2006 8:46pm PT

Ugh, stuff. Anyway, Kevin managed to finally come out with some new issues. The hiatis definately had a hit on the issues, but here's 47 and 48.

Awesome! This weekend I'll be at GameStorm everybody! If you have the chance you should stop by, that would be pretty damned awesome. I'll be there, I'll try to punch out a few issues while I'm at the Con. If your going to be there take a look for me. I'll be carrying around a laptop, have a new jacket on with either "RCRA" or "Vanderwall for President, 2024" stitched into the back. Or something like that. This weekend is going to be pretty insane, with all of the roleplaying I'm going to have to get done. And I don't know, but Robin (guy who does 50b) might be there too. E-mail me and I can get you a cell number or something. Would be cool to hang with fans (Who most likely don't exist) and such. Its $35 for all three days, starting this friday, and going until this sunday. Oh, and I'll most likely have headphones on and be rocking out to Robotech Music or Iron Maiden if I'm not roleplaying. Kevin out. And if you need it, by the way, my e-mail is at the bottom of the site.
March 15, 2006 I don't know PT

So I recently came across a site that is the greatest thing since youfail.org. This great thing? www.askaninja.com, and thats all you get, you can copy and paste. Only three more Ranma 1/2 dvd's before I need to find the OVAs and the movies. And then, like Thaddius-Sam, get drawn into fan-ficts and the manga for a while. In other news, Thaddius-Sam bought prelude. I expect all of you readers (however few of you there are) to know what that is without me saying anything more. I have a issue done, though I'm far to lazy to actually upload it onto the site right now, I might d it later. I'm kinda tired and not in a good mood from being up all last night as I last minute did my Math IB Project. Anywho, Kevin out.

Febuary 23, 2006 9:48pm PT

I'm not sure if these were supposed to be still under ransom, but Kevin said something about updating, so here's Issue's 43, 44, and 45.
Febuary 23, 2006 12:10pm PT

Okay, well, I re-did the issue, then it saved as a jpeg file. Needless to say, it pisses me off and I'm too lazy to fix it right now. I am quite proud of the anti-jpeg public service announcement. It makes happy. In other news, Capitol One is prank calling me. Do I have a Capitol One card? No, not at all. Grr... anywho, COMS is a new mini series I'll be doing, and amazinlgy. I'll actually be doing it! I'll have Thaddius-Sam post up the first issue of it later on tonight, I would but I don't have PNG on this computer. Therefor I can't. And I'll also put the link in right now that apears in the comic so that he doesn't have to do it later. Cool game that was talked about in the issue
.
Febuary 14, 2006 4:14pm PT

I was looking at the updated Issue 41, and not only is it of poorer looking quality, it also appears to be more jpeg'd than the old issue. What'd you do, just re-save it as png? Eh, whatever.
Febuary 9, 2006 8:48pm PT

Okay, today I was about to go write a new issue of the comic, but then I looked at issue number forty-one. To my enragement, it was a jpeg image! This means two things, one, I did it on my laptop, two, I need to make my laptop let me use png file type. So I'll do that when I get my new adapter (Its in the mail right now, ordered it offline earlier today). Back to the point, I un-jpeg'd the image for your enjoyment, that and because I hate jpeg. You know? I hereby declare a crusade against Jpeg! Anyway, here it is, un-jpeg'd Issue LXI.
Febuary 8, 2006 10:53pm PT by Thaddius-Sam

You're a lazy bum when it comes to coding, and that's comming from me. Here's the proper version.
Febuary 8, 2006 10:14pm PT

Your face is teh = suck Thaddius-Sam! In other news, I got the second guest issue the cool guy sent in. Who, from now on shall simply be refered to as "The Paladin of the Wind" or, for short "tPotW" which can be re-arranged to be "Pwott" which conviently stands for "Person who overtly throws twizzlers". But... alas, I think we'll just call him Chad. For that is his name. Anyways, here is the other guest issue he did.

In other news, I reciently (A few weeks ago) wrote a short story that a few of my friends enjoyed. So I decided I'll turn it into a ongoing story I'll post up on the site in small parts every once and a while. I'll get the first installment up a little later tonight, soon as I can trick my laptop into working long enoguh to get the story off of it. And please send me reviews of what you think of it, with questions and things of the sort. I really don't mind getting e-mails, in fact, they make me go "Yay fan or hate mail". Oh, by the way, I want some hate mail, it would make me feel special, better yet. You know who really wants hate mail? Thaddius-Sam! Send him tons, all the time, here.

Update at 10:39 Okay, like, I'm lazy, and don't want to make a new page. Or copy the old page and change the HTML like Thaddius does, so I'll just let him do it and make it so you can click "next" in the order of comics to get to that guest issue.
Febuary 7, 2006 6:43pm PT

Ugh, Kevin's html is teh = suck. I'm not great, because I was to lazy to learn anything but basic, but I at least can put a link in and not delete random portions of the site. Here's the Guest Issue and Kevin's Sample Guest Issue. He also sucks at naming files. Next time he tries to hold something ransom, team up with your rival and fight across town to beat him up and get it back.
Febuary 7, 2006 5:09pm PT

Wow! Someone sent me a guest issue! That is the teh roxors! Yes... the "the teh" was intentional. And I'm in a really odd typing position, because my other random computer tower that I should have stacked on top of this one so I can put my keyboard on it as a table is MIA. Meaning, its somewhere in my room, and I'm too damn lazy to find it. Anyways, back on subject. I got a guest issue, this makes me happy, very happy. Knowing that someone out there, the one in two thousand page views we have had this month so far, was willing to take a bullet for the other 1999 so they could get a new issue. Well you know what the rest of you ninteen hundred and ninty-nine? He is going to get the next three guest issues (not including the three I was already supposed to have had drawn up) so thats six guest issues three days ahead of time. Now now... I know my issues come few and far between, because I'm far too lazy to actually make a "schedual" because I'm far too "active" and I have "too little time" to do anything but "study" anymore. If you want your issues on time, all I'm asking for is four more guest issues, you see, the guy who wrote the one for me, well, he actually did two guest issues. Which is cool, but... the remaining four must each be from a different person. Now you may thing "What!? I have to write a guest issue now?!" but its really not that hard, here is a sample issue. Does that look so hard at all? No, but it counts as a guest issue. So get to work! In other news... I demand everybody out there watch robotech, because its the greatest show ever, EVER. The Macross Saga is the best, and the New Generation is good too. Masters is inbetween and something you just have to live with. But yeah, go watch them, now. And I really have nothing else to say right now, I'll update later with the name of the dude who wrote me the issues, because he deserves to be hailed as my favorite fan, because he wrote me some guest issues.
I don't know, Kevin deleted it
Thank you, thank you all non-existant readers of RCRA for proving my point through lack of me getting any e-mails. My sprite comic is not read by anyone, therefor it does not matter if I actually update my episodes in a way that is regular or not. And, out of spite, I'm holding the next three issues ransom. You know? Like in the origional letter that Alex gets, except its really kinda different. The point is, I will not make any new issues until I either get a e-mail saying that one of you non-existant readers does exist. Or I get some guest issues. I do not care if the guest issues are crap or not. I just want one... it would make me feel special. Yeah... kevinrvanderwall@gmail.com. No direct link crap for you, you have to work for your issues or something. Yeah, I'm tired, Muhahahahaha posting on Thaddius-Sam's site. Okay, I'm gonna get back to playing RCR and not writing issues until I get e-mails, thank you very much!
January 26, 2006 1:42 PT

Kev strikes again! Issue 42. Now I'll go read it...
January 21, 2006 7:08pm PT

So, Kevin actually had Issue 40 for a while, just hadn't uploaded it. Issue 41 is also now uploaded. I wonder if the story line will ever continue...
January 20, 2006 11:26pm PT

I've made a few more updates. I figure I might as well finally clean up the front page, so all pre-2006 posts have been moved here. It will also be accessible from the archive page. Also, my contact email has been updated, and since Kevin no longer maintains his site or forum (i.e. he didn't pay his bills and they shut him down), I removed the link to his site at the top.
On another note, I'm considering running a server and/or cluster at my home and thinking of moving the site there. That is, if I ever get around to setting something like that up. Another idea suggested was to add a guestbook, so I'll look into that. If you like the idea, go ahead and let me know. Man, I should really look into PHP or another dynamic page generating code, because all this manual html coding for updates is somewhat tedious.
January 20, 2006 10:48pm PT

Because it was demanded of me...
Download KolibriOS From Our Server
Operating system Kolibri 0.5.1.0
Well, I guess this is the first post of '06. Kevin's been slacking. If you read RCRA, why not prod at him to make a new issue? He doesn't believe anyone reads it. His current email is kevinrvanderwall@gmail.com
